The trend in packet networks brought new sync strategies such as Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE) and Precision Time Protocol (PTP/IEEE1588). However, many network providers are not yet ready to deploy these Sync strategies. Common concerns are the hardware upgrades required for SyncE and the bandwidth management issues associated with PTP.
The answer is to deploy something you already know- a GPS clock at each node. TesCom has developed the smallest footprint, hardened clock in its class, with just the right mix of flexible features required for your configuration, and at a price you can afford.
